Xpert Exterior Drain Tile System
With Xpert, we guarantee that you will be happy with your new exterior drain tile system at your Norridge, IL home. An exterior drain tile system is installed along one or more exterior walls of your home. To ensure that your lawn is protected (and to enable the reuse of as much as 80% of the construction materials) tarps will be placed approximately four feet from your foundation.
Materials that are in the way will be either removed or tunneled under. These could include, but are not limited to, driveways, walkways, and landscaping elements.
Your Norridge, IL home’s foundation will be thoroughly inspected for utility holes, cracks, and wall ties – these are all potential sources of water seepage.
Xpert performs maintenance annually, and to make this process easier flush ports are installed on your system at each corner. Two pitch points help maintain support. Your completed drain tile system will then be tied into your plumbing. It will either be connected to a sump pump or a gravity drainage system will be employed to connect the drain tile to the sewer system.
To ensure that water is properly dispersed to the drain tile, a waterproof membrane and Xpert’s sheet drain system will be applied to surrounding foundation walls.
The now exposed drain tile will be carefully covered with approximately 1′ of #6 stone fill and then backfill (largely comprised of the previously excavated materials). The backfill will be tampered using 2′ lifts to grade – this helps defend against potential settlement. All excavated walkways and shrubbery will be re-installed in accordance with the previously agreed upon measures.
